Samsung announced it will have both 3.5GHz and 28GHz hardware ready in time for South Korea's launch of next-generation 5G networks: initial 5G transmissions will begin on December 1, 2018, with commercialization in March 2019. The company's commitment could reduce demand for Chinese rival Huawei's 5GÂ equipment.
